Research

Pragmatipo forms part of a wider doctoral research project into modular typographic systems (University of Aveiro · ID+), in which a single geometric system is operationalised across three devices: physical movable type, an analogue stencil ruler, and this digital compositor. The platform was built entirely through dialogue with an AI model — a zero-code approach — and is itself part of the research object: the relationship between praxis, system and technology in type design.
